Nutritionally balanced for multiple life stages including mares, breeding, maintenance, and performance horses
- Your horse’s ideal feed rate depends on body weight, activity level, and forage intake.
-
To dial in the right amount, start with the Horse Feed Calculator below. It generates a personalized daily ration (lbs/day) based on your inputs, giving you a practical baseline to fine‑tune.
- When changing from hay feeding to a combined hay plus feed ration, make the change gradually over a one-week period. Split total daily amounts into 2-3 feedings per day. Hay should be fed at the rate of 1.0 to 1.5 LB per 100 LB bodyweight.
- Horses that have been exercised should be cooled out and re-hydrated properly before being fed and before having access to unlimited water.
- Monitor body condition weekly and adjust in small increments as needed.
- Divide the recommended feeding level into two or more equally spaced feedings per day.
- Feed clean, good quality hay.
- Salt and fresh water should be available free choice.
- When changing diets, transition gradually over 5–7 days.
