The feed you provide for your poultry flock should provide a balanced and nutritious diet essential for
maintaining your flock’s health, activity, and productivity. Grit is a dietary supplement typically sourced
from ground granite. Durvet’s Smart Grit offers more than just an inert stone to aid the gizzard in
breaking down certain dietary ingredients. Ahiflower® is an extremely hard and small seed known as
a “stone seed” that is an all natural alternative to small granite rocks. Smart Grit also contains high
amounts of naturally occurring calcium for laying hens and fiber for proper gut health.
FEEDING DIRECTIONS
Provide free-choice access to the grit throughout the day. Place Smart Grit in an appropriate feeding
container to maintain product integrity and quality. Smart Grit can also be scattered by hand in a
designated feeding area. Daily consumption can vary based on your bird’s diet, breed, age, growth
stage, and production needs. Smart Grit particle sizes may vary to suit birds of different ages and
physical proportions—larger beaks can handle bigger, coarser pieces.
